A vast array of information can be accessed via this site. Registrants will also receive weekly e-mails of articles of interest to them (microbiologists will be interested in receiving the "Infectious Disease" notification). Medscape offers free, unlimited access to the National Library of Medicine's "MedLine" which can be used to search journals for the last 15 years. Abstracts are free and full-length articles can be obtained for a price. Medscape also has a collection of full-length articles that have appeared over the years on the site.
These can be searched for specific subjects and are free-of-charge.
