About NACMID

Mission

NACMID holds a three-day annual meeting every year that includes one day of workshops and two days of symposia. Additionally there are also regional meetings an workshops.

Continuing changes in our field, including the work environment, government regulations, technology and newly emerging pathogens, make continuing education for all microbiologists a necessity. We provide ASCP continuing education units to participants of all local and annual meetings.

NACMID was organized in the spring of 1983 and formally incorporated as a non-profit organization on July 1, 1983. The purpose of the Association is to promote scientific knowledge of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases.

NACMID serves all of New England and New York and membership is open to anyone interested in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases.
